Ministry of the Word: "Hosanna, Lord!" The King comes to Save!
- Palm Sunday. A celebration of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.
- Jesus set out for Jerusalem.
- Jesus is not a victim of happenstance. Jesus is on a mission. He knows what he has to do and He is carrying out His office.
- Jesus' entry into Jerusalem was an announcement; the Messiah is here.
- The Israelites were expecting a worldly champion; a political leader that would free them from Roman rule.
- Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem was for our sake.
- Hosanna is an expression of praise that comes from the Hebrew saying "pray, save us!"
- Through Jesus' sacrifice we are saved from eternal condemnation.
